Nate Schroeder Leaves Infamous

  • 2 min read

Nate Schroeder has decided to step away from the team for the remainder of the season. Nate has brought it to our attention that his current work schedule will not allow him to travel and take as much time off from work to meet the needs to compete with the team leading up to the events.

We wish Nate all the best and fully expect to see Nate on the field in the Professional Division, maybe even before the season is over.

We asked Nate for a quote, here is what he said.

"The inevitable day had come sooner than I had planned. I had planned to win an event, or 10, plus a series championship before parting ways with Infamous.

When Travis and Cody reached out to me, almost 7 years ago, the decision to join was driven by opportunity. Not many people in our sport are given the opportunity to have the level of support required to work towards a common goal of winning tournaments. Not just bankroll but being surrounded by the best of the best with a professional mindset in a legitimate organization. Opportunity I couldn’t pass up.

I’m not going to attempt to put into words how grateful I am for everything Travis and the team have done for me. Saving my spot on the team while I went through 3 shoulder surgeries and missed numerous events should tell you what kind of person Coach Trav embodies. My admiration for everything he’s done for Infamous, and paintball as a whole, has grown over the years; I can confidently say that I’m a better man, husband, competitor and teammate because of him.

A lot of factors went into my decision but ultimately, I had reached the conclusion that I could not continue to make the same sacrifices as the rest of the team. My hats off to them, their significant others, businesses/employees and support system that are backing their journey.

During my tenure I changed careers, got married and rescued a dog. All life events that have taken priority over paintball but I would be lying if I said they weren’t affected by the travel and commitment infamous as a professional organization requires.

I look forward to taking a step back and watching the skeleton squad continue to grow and become a tier 1 team. I just hope it’s sooner rather than later so I can share the feeling of accomplishment." - Nate Schroeder
